Job Description

Role And Responsibilities

• Research Project Lead for specific innovation projects. Deliverables will include Stage Gate Reports and Final Research Reports that allow clean entry into the SPX FLOW New Product Development process.

• Develop and document data acquisition, interpretation and control algorithm standards and practices for SPX FLOW.

• Identify, qualify and implement new and emerging DAQ, communication and control technologies.

• Identify, qualify and help customers implement novel DAQ, communication and control technologies.

• Continuously benchmark industry peers and look for best approaches relating to Control/IoT of industrial mechanical equipment and processes.

• Engage with academic partners to foster and maintain SPX FLOW technological leadership.

• Engage with government agencies (NSF, DoE, etc.) in pursuit of R&D funding.

• Publication and presentation of Technical Papers.

Educational Qualification

• A Master’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Science or Engineering or similar field is required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to effectively communicate at all business levels.

• Ability to build and maintain personal networks across geographic boundaries.

• Cross functional thinker able to understand the overall business impact of an idea.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years experience in the design and application of electronic DAQ, communication and control of industrial equipment.
